Text-books authors supported the Competence Based Learning.

The five days training being organized by QESP I for 110 textbooks’ authors, were the next step in improving the quality of education in schools. The first day of training was chaired by the Minister of Education and Science Mr. Nuriddin Said, deputy minister Ms Latofat Naziri and Team Leader of QESP Lot I Mr. Michael Lightfoot. They welcomed the participants and guided them to discuss the opportunities of developing the textbooks with the reference to core competences in the plenary sessions.
The participants of the training were divided into four main groups, where they discussed and developed the presentations on how to embed the core competencies into textbooks for the subjects as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Information Technology.
By the end of the plenary sessions, each group has presented their work, where the challenges and progress of embedding the core competencies into the textbook were displayed for the joint session. The authors agreed that education system is in need of improvement in order to meet the challenges of the contemporary world and the Competence-based learning is an important step towards achieving this goal.
