The Quality Education Support Program, Phase 1 in a frame of Component 1, conducted online training of trainers on approbation of series of programs for continuing professional development of teachers on March 30-31, 2021 at the Hilton Hotel.
The event was opened by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Latofat Naziri, who expressed gratitude for the contribution of QESP-1 in support of continuous professional development of teachers. The project team-leader Evgeni Ivanov, also spoke about the project’s readiness to conduct a series of trainings to improve the qualifications of teachers and to support the development of programs in this sphere.
The main purpose of the training was to develop five two-day programs for professional development of teachers by international experts of the project. In order to test and improve in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, group of experts was involved from the units and managements of the Ministry of Education and Science. The team will review the programs, study them and test them in different parts of the country, after which the programs will be updated and submitted for approval and further use.
The training was conducted online. The authors of the programs “Education in 21st Century", “Active Teaching Methods", “Cooperation with Parents in Education", “Quality Education for All", “Teachers as Researchers" Liliana Levkov and Jasminka Markovich presented them at this training.
